A Formative Education, Online

At Boston College, we believe that an online education should be as collaborative, cooperative, and holistic as any in-person program. Grounded in the principles of formative education and backed by 500 years of Jesuit tradition, we believe in curricula and research that engages the whole person—encouraging students to explore different dimensions of intellectual, emotional, interpersonal, and spiritual development.

Our virtual classrooms include interactive questions and answers, study rooms, and online collaboration with classmates. As a member of the Boston College family, our online students have access to on-campus resources, including faculty advisors for guidance and support.

Forming Educators for a More Just World

M.Ed. Programs Rooted in Tradition, Powered By Technology

Now, more than ever, our world needs educational leaders who can apply global contexts to local problems, lead educational reform, and foster equitable opportunities for students. Through formative education, we provide educators with the tools they need to become educational leaders in their communities. Our accredited, online M.Ed. programs are taught by world-renowned faculty. As an institution, we are known for our focus on academic excellence and innovation.
